Thomson Reuters is looking for an engineer with the right mix of knowledge and skills inpublic cloud, Windows, and Linux server administration and software development experience who want to build and operate our services at scale. Our Platform Engineering organization partners with cloud and SaaS providers around the globe to provide world-class computing platforms to our application teams. We are seeking to expand and mature our capabilities in Amazon, Azure, Oracle, and Google clouds, while maintaining a stable and secure ecosystem inside our own hosting centers. About the Role In this opportunity as Senior Cloud Engineer, you will: Develop cloud based services to be robust and resilient. Leverage cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. Automate cloud infrastructure using a heavy integration of pipelines, micro-services, 3rd party SaaS services, and custom software when appropriate. Identify trends and find potential issues before incidents occur in cloud management platform. Automate cloud infrastructure using software development techniques. Participate in the design and management of enterprise wide endpoint control systems for cloud based services. Participate in agile/lean development frameworks to manage our work. About You You're a fit for the role of Senior Cloud Engineer if your background includes: Required: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent level of experience. 4+ years of cloud infrastructure and automation development experience. Moderate to advanced coding skills in in using any high-level or advanced language such as Python or PowerShell, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, C#, or Java are also OK. Strong Windows or Linux server administration skills. Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure in either AWS or Azure; using a combination of the following: PipeLines, CodeBuilder, Image Builder, GitHub Actions, Terraform, BICEP, or Cloud Formation, etc. Familiarity with cloud security models, roles, and/or policies. Source Code Management skills using Git (GitHub experience is a plus). Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate large, complex designs in easy terms. Ability to coach other team members, guide them through complex issues, and help up-skilling you and your peers. You are a problem solver: You apply an evidence-based approach to solving service problems in real time to provide the fastest path to recovery. Preferred: Experience with HCL BigFix Experience with FedRAMP, FIPS, and other federal security controls. Experience building Machine Images in the cloud. A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS/EKS, or AKS Experience with OS patch management and patch automation. What's in it For You?
