　　Responsibilities

　　Transport people from site while maintaining the assigned schedule.

　　Operate vehicle in a safe manner.

　　Inform supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately.

　　Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle.

　　Comply with all traffic safety rules and regulations.

　　Assist the department supervisor with the daily activities of the Transportation department.

　　Inspect and maintain vehicle daily for cleaning and safety issues.

　　Maintains accurate logs per required standards.

　　Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes.

　　Drive specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to various destinations; assuresthat wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that riders are delivered toappointments in a timely manner.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

　　BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Chauffeur preferred.

　　Heart Saver AED preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

　　Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
