  Job Title: Delivery Driver

  Reports to: Warehouse Manager

  Location: El Cajon, CA

  FLSA Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

  Dynalectric is San Diego’s leader in complex, fully integrated design/build electrical services. Our project teams include specialists in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of

  tele-data communications, audio/video, process control, building management and fire/safety installations.

  SUMMARY

  The Warehouse Driver holds an important role for Dynalectric San Diego. The position will be responsible for ensuring that materials and tools are delivered to the job site, safely and in a quality manner. Items will be delivered, picked up after completion and returned to the warehouse. This individual must have the ability to support field supervisors and maintain positive communication with Field Foremen and Warehouse Manager.

  We offer competitive hourly wages based on experience.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  Include the following.

  Maintains class C Driver’s license and clean MVR record

  Responsible for properly securing loads

  Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating, truck condition.

  Drives truck to assigned destination

  Assist workers in unloading and loading truck when required

  Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence

  Fills work orders, or request for materials, tools or other stock items

  Maintains inventory records

  Receive deliveries

  Maintains cleanliness of vehicle and warehouse housekeeping

  Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, with occasional overtime

  Follows all traffic laws, is courteous to other drivers, and understands the importance of representing the company and providing a positive image of the company.

  Regular attendance is required.

  Performs other duties as required.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   Must have:

  3-5 years of experience as a driver.

  Clean driving record.

  Required to enroll with the union.

  Able to pass drug screen.

  Able to learn and operate company’s tools and handling material.

  REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

  Knowledge of tools a plus

  Ability to operate power equipment including forklift.

  Knowledge of San Diego and Orange County a plus.

  Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values

  Must have ability to build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, customers and partners and to influence employees in a positive and honest manner

  Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills

  Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail

  Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, effectively in the English language

  High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  LANGUAGE SKILLS

  Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will range from working in a warehouse to a variety of construction worksites requiring walking on rugged or uneven terrain, climbing, kneeling, bending. Worksites could be located underground in tunnels or in high-rise construction. Able to push and pull 50 pounds, bend, twist, and sit for long periods of time.

  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  The employee will be required to commute to field locations and project sites and will need to be able to navigate around the job site locations.

  While visiting field locations, the employee may be required to work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

  Compensation Range: $18-22/hour

  The compensation range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
