　　Description

　　The Telegraph Herald, a daily newspaper in Dubuque, Iowa, seeks a talented intern to join our news reporting team. Be a part of a hard-working, award-winning, aggressive newsroom aiming to produce the best newspaperin the state, both in print and online.

　　Our interns get a real taste of the business covering a broad variety of news and features alongside professional colleagues. You will have a chanceto play an active role in our news organization. And at the end of the summer, you will have an abundance ofexperience and a full collection of work to show future employers. Internships typically start in May and run 10 weeks or so (but we make sure it’s always long enough for you to meet your college’s requirements, if there are any).

　　These are paid, full-time 40-hour per week internships.

　　Qualifications

　　Behavior : Commitment to quality and service. A team player. A positive representative of the newspaper and colleagues as a member of the journalism profession. Dresses appropriately for the job. Maintains a valid driver’s license.

　　Skills : Reporting, interviewing, writing, multi-media, typing, communicating, meeting, deadlines, planning and organizing.

　　Knowledge : High School diploma plus enrollment in an accredited college or university. Newspaper or related media/communications experience.
