Work involves coordinating, reviewing, evaluating, and reporting of grants at various stages to determine appropriateness of grant or compliance with requirements and standards, and serving as a liaison between funding sources and the state or federal government. Work involves preparing, maintaining, and reporting grants, coordinating grant applications and serving as a liaison between funding sources and the State. Perform administrative support or technical program assistance work. Work involves coordinating the disseminating of information, developing filing systems, and coordinating internal administrative support work. Coordinate, research, and identify sources of external funds and creates or develops proposals to secure funds for new grant opportunities and grant renewal opportunities.2. Interpret policies, rules, or regulations; provide guidance to staff and the community regarding grant administration, policies, and procedures; and resolve related issues and concerns.3. Prepare, coordinate, and analyze work plans and timelines to ensure submission of federal grant applications and program reports in a timely manner.4. Prepare and review letters of intent and grant applications.5. Ensure compliance with conditions of grants by monitoring and analyzing agreements, contracts, expenses, and activities, as well as federal and state regulations.6. Develop policies, rules, or regulations; coordinate guidance provided to staff and the community regarding grant administration, compliance, policies, and procedures; and resolve related issues and concerns.7. Work closely with Operation Stone Garden, developing and coordinating grant proposals to secure funds for the Drawbridge program.8. Review project costs and approve budget justifications and budget revisions for awarded grants.9. Prepare and review grant closeout materials.10. Coordinate and analyze project costs and prepare budget justifications and budget revisions for federal awarded grants.11. Participate in cross-functional workgroups composed of internal and external stakeholders to develop program objectives, work plans, and budgets.12. Serve as a liaison between the agency, the State, and grant funding sources by attending meetings, responding to information requests, and resolving issues between parties involved.13. Coordinate the preparation, editing, and distribution of correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents.14. Develop, and maintain filing, record-keeping, and records management systems.15. Develop administrative and technical policies and procedures.16. Maintain files and records and prepare reports related to grant activities.17. Attend w rk regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.18. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:Education High School Diploma/equivalent. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelors degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.Experience Minimum of two (2) years experience in grant development and coordination, accounting budget work and administrative support work. Minimum of three (3) years experience with the following grants systems; Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA), eGrants, JUSTgrants, CAPPS and Operation Stone Garden.Substitution Note: Additional work experience of the type described or other related education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.Licensure and/or Certification If driving is required, must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.Regulatory Knowledge Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures.Supervisory/Managerial/Leadership Skills Knowledge of management/supervisory methods and principles, performance/productivity standards, and fiscal/budget management. Ability to develop plans, policies, and procedures for efficient workflow and overall effectiveness.
