Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Division Sales Engineer (Power Factor Correction). This is a hybrid role that takes place in Fayetteville, NC. We are able to offer relocation assitance for candidates residing within the United States.
The Division Sales Engineer will support sales force on Power Factor Correction and Power Conditioning project negotiations. Responsibility to include interpretation of project plans and specifications, product application, configuration of product, technical support, proposal preparation, lead time information, review of project terms and conditions and pricing authority managed to price bands as determined by manager. You will review customer needs and specifications in order to determine the minimum bill of material, most competitive price level, and shipment cycle within the market segment pertaining to each specific negotiation. Interpret incoming product line quotations for project desirability factor, proper product content, and list price. Recommend modifications to bill of material to meet customer specification and improve Eaton’s competitive position as needed.
Responsibilities also to include facilitation of order entry with EatonCare and Front-End personnel; order and price reconciliation and other customer requested functions as required to obtain profitable sales growth of Global Eaton’s PFC line.
Report new product requirements, track negotiations, report orders entered and lost, develop accurate monthly forecasts and report market trends in a timely and efficient manner.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
Provides pre and post sales support for PFC and PC products. Be a technical resource for the PFC & PC product lines.
Performs product specification reviews, prepares quotations, and pricing information, conducts competitive product analysis, and writes technical literature for internal and external use
Provide post sales technical support to resolve product installation and warranty issues
Research and prepare competitive cross references and application notes for the product lines supported.
Provides technical explanations, demonstration and training of products to customers, field engineering, and marketing support functions.
Assists in-house engineering and marketing personal in developing concepts for new products or modification of existing devices and contribute to product launch requirements
Assist during product seminars which could include up to 10% travel
Perform a wide variety of marketing and technical tasks, including solving customer problems with the use of technical and marketing publications, development specifications, and divisional peers to innovate problem solutions.
Without appreciable direction, must be able to manage time appropriately to meet the product line’s objectives and customers’ requirements.
Guide the coordination of special complex design problems with design/standards engineering.
Interpret and define commercial and technical data where customer and/or product planning specifications are of a general or speculative nature involving the solution of new and varied problems.
Negotiate with Field Sales/customer, to obtain highest price levels for service and product features offered.
Sell Field Sales organization on quality and product features in order to obtain required focus and attention to meet volume objectives.
Assist Field Sales to help upsell to the customer after the order has been awarded to obtain the maximum justifiable price realization on change notices.
Give training and informative presentations to customers, distributors, and sales force concerning Eaton’s electrical products and services.
Ability to travel as necessary to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts and to manage or participate in company-related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments.
Create and technical and non-technical marketing documentation. Marketing Product Launches project tracking and documentation
Participant in new standard developments when advantageous to the product line.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
Product and technical knowledge of PFC and Power Conditioning equipment applications.
1-3 years of experience in electrical industry.
