AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS, JOB DOES NOT START UNTIL, March 1, 2024. APPLICANT SHOULD RECEIVE A COPY OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB REFERRAL BEFORE CALLING EMPLOYER CONTACT. All workers should be physically able to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 03/1/2024 to 12/20/2024. Workers will use mechanized and power-driven equipment such as tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivator, and other equipment to plant, cultivate, harvest, and irrigate crops. Workers will be expected to be able to operate agricultural equipment with or without direct. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions, communicate effectively to supervisors. Unusual, complex, or non-routine activities will be supervised. Field workers will be expected to perform their general duties in a timely and proficient manner. Workers must obey all safety rules and basic instructions and be able to recognize, understand, and comply with safety, pesticide warning/re-entry and other essential postings. Workers that have a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but no limited to Driving while intoxicated or reckless driving) and able to obtain an insurable driver’s license may be required to drive company vehicles. Workers with proper licenses will use company vehicles to transport employers’ crops, tools and fellow workers. Workers will install and maintain irrigation systems and water lines. Move and install irrigation pipes and equipment, remove drip tubing or install drip tubing, dig and maintain ditches. Hay, Straw, Wheat, Barley & Silage: Workers will plant, cultivate, and harvest. Grass Seed: Cutting, Cleaning, bagging & loading. Workers will perform various duties associated with growing the employers’ crops. Most of these duties involve operation of farm equipment such as tractors, and trucks to plant, cultivate, harvest, and take to storage the crops listed in this job order. Farm Equipment Operation During Field Operations: Workers will be required to operate tractors and other farm equipment during field operations as an incidental activity in the production of crops. Before any worker is required to operate any farm equipment, the worker will be instructed in the proper and safe operation of tractor. Workers will be required to operate tractors according to instructions and in a manner that protects the operator, other workers, trees, crops and equipment. Repeated failure to obey operating and safety instructions may result in termination. Workers will adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Workers will attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Workers will drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools and farm workers. Workers will assist in irrigate duties and maintain ditches, pipes and pumps. Corn and Soybeans: Workers will plant cultivate and harvest corn and soybeans. Workers will stand on feet for long periods of time. Workers are required to work in fields when plants are wet with dew or rain. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from forty (40) to over one hundred (100) degrees. Employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malinger, or recalcitrant worker who is physically able but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product. The confirmed wage offered is, $15.14 per hour. Wages are paid weekly. The employer guarantees to offer at least three fourths of the hours listed in the contract. Workers comp insurance will be provided. Employees must be able to work hours at a time in a standing, walking and stooping position. Employees must be able to frequently lift weights ranging from 20 to 75 pounds. The employer must provide free housing and three meals a day or furnish free convenient cooking facilities to all workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence the same day. If the employer elects to provide meals, a maximum of $15.46 per day may be charged to the employee. The employer will provide the necessary tools, supplies and equipment at no cost to the worker. Employees are subject to random drug testing.
