We will develop the technology and knowledge platform necessary to achieve impact through scale.The Opportunity with Edo:Edo is seeking a Director, Utility Programs to oversee the development and implementation of Edo's growing business with utility clients, including the Spokane Connected Communities Project, a DOE-funded demand flexibility program with Avista.The Director, Utility Programs will be responsible for client management, building a team and developing staff, and overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of utility programs. The ideal candidate has background and experience in the following areas: leadership and management of utility energy efficiency or demand response programs, overseeing a portfolio of multi-year programs and projects with budgets greater than $10M, creative thinking and inventive problem solving with clients, and leading and inspiring a team of people.Provide leadership of Edo's utility programs including strategy, implementation, and execution, as we continue to grow and mature our portfolio of utility programs.Responsible for the successful operations delivery and implementation of the Spokane Connected Communities project, including:Serve as the primary point of contact with Avista and DOE clients on program execution, project planning, contract and budgeting issues and other high level client management issues.Main point of contact for subcontractors and key end-users participating in the program.Facilitate the development of efficient processes for program performance; refine and document processes to ensure disciplined, measurable results against program targets.Ensure that staff, partners, and subcontractors have sufficient capacity and resources to effectively implement project activitiesLead the project to ensure superior client service, delivery, and position for scale and growth.Represent Edo and the Connected Communities Project at outside meetings, conferences and other client endorsed events.Work closely with the Edo leadership team, including the R&D and Software Development teams, to define and refine the broader demand flexibility operational strategy to enable us to scale at a pace that ensures success.Drive accountability to direct team members and cross-functional departments to streamline utility program delivery and implement best-in-class program portfolio management.Balance being focused on short-term high-priority requirements and taking the time to develop strategic and longer-term thinking to grow Edo's utility business.Build and develop a team of high performers, including lead technical and program management staff.What You Need to Succeed at Edo:Bachelor's degree.15+ years of experience managing portfolio of programs and large, complex projects.10+ years of energy management or utility industry experience.Proven experience building and managing dynamic, flexible teams.Experience building and managing client relationships.Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and with multiple partners on collaborative projects.
