SUMMARY
The Director for the Woodrick Center for Inclusion & Multicultural Affairs provides vision and leadership for a variety of programs and services to facilitate success, access, retention, and completion for all students, including students from historically underrepresented populations. The Director works with students, faculty, staff, and administrators across the College to create a sense of belonging for students, including, without limitation, historically marginalized populations.
The Director of the Woodrick Center is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programs, and initiatives that support student success, including supporting students in earning a credential, certificate, or degree that leads to successful transfer to a four-year institution or entry into the job market. To achieve this goal, the Director focuses on cultivating one-on-one support and advocating for students, advising student groups, providing multicultural programming, supporting academic success programs, and building positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Credentials
• Master's degree in relevant field, including but not limited to higher education, social justice, or diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is required.
Work Experience
• Minimum of three years' full-time experience in higher education is required.• Extensive experience in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in higher education is required.• Community college experience is preferred.• Strong understanding of academic and student life environments is preferred.

• Leadership: The ability to lead and inspire a team to drive initiatives and collaborate with College-wide colleagues to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging throughout the academic and student life areas.• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; engage with diverse stakeholders; and present data and reports effectively.• Program Development: Capacity to develop and implement programs and initiatives that support GRCC's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging goals.• Data Analysis: The ability to collaborate with the College's Institutional Research area to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and use data to inform decision-making and measure progress.• Strategic Planning: The ability to create and implement a strategic vision for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, including setting goals and objectives for the Woodrick Center and to support related goals in GRCC's Strategic Plan.• Research and Best Practices: Utilize the latest research in the field of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to support up-to-date College practices, policies, and/or procedures.
Physical Demands
• The position requires long periods of sitting, standing, reading and writing, listening, and speaking.• Ability to lift equipment and furnishings to support major campus events (20-30 pounds).• Noise level is usually moderate, though at certain events can be loud/very loud.
