Hyatt Regency Tashkent was opened in 2016 and presents 300 guest rooms in downtown Tashkent. The prestigious hotel offers 2 restaurants, a bar and significant event facilities. Tashkent is the capital of and the most cosmopolitan city in Uzbekistan. Tree-lined streets and picturesque green areas surround the hotel. Within close distance are various government offices, hotels, shops and restaurants, foreign embassies, landmarks and tourist attractions. Immediately adjacent to the Hotel is the National Library.
Scope of Job:
To manage the Sales & Marketing department as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlet’s operating concept of Hyatt Regency Tashkent and Hyatt Hotels Corporation Standards Policies & Procedures, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the Sales & Marketing. In this role you will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Sales & Marketing department of the hotel, aligned to deliver the Hyatt Regency brand experiences and standards while meeting the unique and individual guest expectations and creating an environment that delivers exceptional colleague experiences. Your specific duties in this role will include:
To develop, implement, maximize, monitor and evaluate the Marketing Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, and all other revenue generating departments.
To ensure Marketing activities are aligned with the Corporate Marketing Strategy and Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.
To oversee the preparation and update of individual Departmental Operations Manuals.
To conduct regular divisional communications meetings and ensure departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
To coordinate preparation of the Annual Business Plan.
To strategically analyze business performance to facilitate accurate and meaningful forecasting, involving the respective Heads of Department as appropriate.
To proactively manage all the marketing resources and funds, and control departmental costs, working through the respective Heads of Department as appropriate.
To manage all hotel brand contacts including all sales and marketing communications, to enforce and maintain the hotel’s brand positioning and concept outlined in the Annual Business Plan.
To prepare, utilize and update an Annual Marketing Plan, delegated as necessary by division and/or department.
To constantly monitor and evaluate local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ and restaurants’ initiatives, in order to make sure the hotel’s marketing and operations remain competitive and cutting edge.
To review the reports and analysis compiled by the Revenue Manager and discuss strategies, opportunities and threats within the division, and with the relevant Heads of Department.
And other additional tasks that will be directly given by Operational Director and General Manger.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing field.
In addition, we expect a minimum 3 years work experience in a local market as a Head of Sales and Marketing department in a luxury international brand hotel and good understanding of selling techniques and marketing approaches.
Professional and negotiating skills are essential, as is a polished and professional appearance.
We expect the candidate to bring good leadership skills, paired with the ability to empathetically communicate with all guests and colleagues in the hotel.
Good organization and communication skills, the ability to inspire and support innovation as well as a passion for caring service should be your strength.
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English are required. Any other European language will be an asset.
