Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Graduate Enrollment, the Director of Graduate Admissions manages the strategic recruitment operations for MBA and MS programs in the Zicklin School of Business and leads a team of admissions professionals and support staff.
Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the achievement of annual admissions and enrollment goals for MBA and MS programs.
Lead a team of admissions professionals and support staff with responsibility for setting and managing goals and priorities, performance reviews, and developing individualized plans for training and development. Set measurable goals for the office and ensure that goals and objectives are followed based on yearly performance evaluations.
Develop an annual recruitment plan for each graduate program, under the direction of the Assistant Dean. Continue to refine and adjust the plans annually to meet emerging challenges and opportunities.
Manage and develop recruitment events, including on-campus open houses and a series of webinars to convert leads and yield admitted students. Use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of events on an ongoing basis.
Cultivate relationships with appropriate personnel at feeder colleges and companies to attract the best possible applicant pool. Become expert in Zicklin’s applicant pool to ensure that recruitment and marketing efforts are targeted effectively.
Collaborate with Program Directors, Office of Graduate Programs and the Graduate Career Management Center, and faculty, to insure effective event programming.
Utilize database systems to monitor recruitment activities, oversee application processing and evaluation, and track enrollment pipeline progression.
Review and analyze admissions data regularly and prepare data for reporting and for external reporting to AACSB and GMAC surveys, and ad hoc reporting.
Work closely with the Office of Strategic Communications in the development of marketing and admission materials.
Manage area budget and expenditures as designated by the Assistant Dean and develop detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions.
Oversee the onboarding and ongoing training of all staff to ensure that Graduate Admissions policies and procedures are being accurately communicated and applied, and to ensure that supporting technology systems are being used properly. Maintain the procedure manual for the office.
Participate in professional development activities within the College and CUNY as well as national organizations. Encourage professional development activities for staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Proven track record of graduate student recruitment and admissions success in an AACSB-accredited business school.
Dynamic recruiter with strong group facilitation and presentation skills.
Extensive experience of using graduate admissions management software.
Advanced skills in analyzing data using Excel, including using pivot tables and formulas.
Strong analytical skills and proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
Team player and able to collaborate and work in partnership with other campus constituents.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$83,878 - $129,310; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
