　　The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

　　· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

　　· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

　　· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

　　· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care.

　　The role you’ll contribute:

　　The Director of Emergency Services has direct responsibility of the Emergency Department. The Director of Emergency Services assumes 24-hour accountability for directing all activities related to observation, monitoring, education, orientation, and training of personnel in a manner that encourages quality patient care, safe environment, and employee, guest, and patient satisfaction.

　　The Director of Emergency Services promotes an effective team environment and supports the Adventhealth mission, vision, and standards of quality care. Exemplifies the principles of leadership practices, customer and employee satisfaction, and is a proactive liaison for physicians, employees, patients, families, and guests. Demonstrates effective communication skills, conflict management skills, human relationship competencies, team building, and family/guest relationships. Responsibilities include the assurance that the staff adheres to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

　　· Develops and implements departmental safety program by using Employee Engagement, Risk Master reports and other data sources.

　　· Oversees development and implementation of strategies for accomplishing departmental and organizational objectives.

　　· Develops and maintains effective departmental communication through regular staff meetings. Facilitates the flow of information from and to department and administration.

　　· Fosters an environment of service excellence for patients, families, physicians and community.

　　· Develops and implements annual budget. Monitors and makes adjustments to meet effective use of budgeted resources.

　　Qualifications

　　The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

　　· Bachelors of Science Nursing

　　· 3 years Leadership Experience

　　· Communication skills which enhance and motivate staff

　　· Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities

　　· Maintains professional licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida

　　· BLS certification

　　· ACLS certification

　　· PALS

　　· NIHSS certification upon hire

　　· 8 hours Hip and Knee Replacement/Spine Education within 6 months of hire, then annually

　　· 8 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire, then annually

　　· AVADE Education within 90 days of hire date
