  The Opportunity

  Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Director of Business Resilience to join our Global Security Department where you’ll join a team of professionals assigned around the globe who love what they do. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader IT, COMMS, Operations, and Risk Management team where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company.   The Role

  In this role, you will be Hyatt’s subject matter expert on all areas of business resilience including emergency preparedness, business continuity, and crisis management. You will provide stakeholders advice and guidance regarding emergency preparedness actions and planning activities and will develop applicable plans and templates for both global and targeted geographical usage. Additional responsibilities include:

  •Audit and review individual hotel business continuity and emergency plans, processes, and procedures and provide follow-up implementation of recommendations.

  •Coordinate efforts with relevant stakeholders to include corporate leadership and regional senior management teams to support wider business strategy and risk management capabilities.

  •Maintain awareness of the global risk environment with potential impact on Hyatt operations which may include a review of vendor reporting, independent research, and close coordination with Hyatt’s Global Security and Cyber Security Analytical teams.

  •Prepare regular reports and provide routine verbal briefings regarding the Business Resiliency program status and initiatives to various internal risk and control committees, working groups, and exercises.

  Qualifications:

  Experience Required:

  •8 years of experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role

  •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study

  Experience Preferred:

  •Professional Certifications (DRII, BCI) in business continuity, disaster recovery, and/or crisis management

  •International experience, travel, work, and residence

  •Microsoft Office products

  •10-15% travel both domestic and international
