Job Title: Director of Behavioral Health
Classification: Exempt, Full-time
Supervision Responsibilities: Yes
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Chief Executive Officer
Essential Role: This position is primarily responsible foradministrative and programmatic supervision of all aspects of behavioralhealth care services, while providing behavioral health consultation tochildren, adolescents, adults and families in order to improvepsychosocial functioning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the organization with the delivery of behavioral health servicesacross multiple service areas, programs and overall service deliverysites.
Provide assistance (directly or indirectly) in training staff innecessary protocols, diagnosis and treatment methods, and clinicalintervention strategies for quality behavioral health service delivery.
Ensure compliance in all aspects of providing behavioral healthservices, through all funding and grant streams for the department.
Ensure and maintain a high level of efficiency as it relates tocoordination of client/patient care, scheduling of patients, followthrough on BH policies and procedures, quality and peer reviews and allaspects of the department.
Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral healthclients.
Provide effective treatment planning and assist clients in successfullyachieving goals.
Assist the primary care team in developing care management processessuch as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, casemanagement, and patient education to improve self-management of chronicdisease.
Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention forpsychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
Teach patients, families, and staff care, prevention, and treatmentenhancement techniques.
Attend trainings, workshops and other relevant professional developmentevents approved by the CEO. Make recommendations on quality improvementmeasures based on current best practices.
Maintain regular meetings and provide management reports to the CEOrelated to contracts, grants, program and staffing concerns.
Should be comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with aninterdisciplinary team, and have strong communication skills.
Directly responsible for department personnel actions including, but notlimited to, hiring, terminations, schedules, time approvals, performanceappraisals and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
Masters Degree required in Social Work.
Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LSCSW) or a Licensed Psychologist.
Experience
Prefer at least 3 years of experience practicing as a Licensed ClinicalSocial Worker or Licensed Psychologist.
The ability to provide clinical supervision of MSWs working towardclinical licensure.
Excellent working knowledge of medical and mental health conditions.
Previous experience management experience preferred.
Technical Skills
Must possess a thorough knowledge of modern office practices,procedures, and equipment, including computers, copiers, and otherstandard office equipment.
Ability to work independently, organize, monitor, and adjust work asnecessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
Demonstrated strong problem solving and decision-making skills inpast-paced environment.

Work Schedule: Normal schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm., schedule may vary.
