  About the Role

  Location: East Hanover, NJ #LI-Hybrid

  Novartis has a phenomenal career opportunity for a Director of MarTech Product Management, Product Owner of Consent and Privacy Management (CPM). This role will own and deliver the product vision, roadmap, budget and key benchmarks for CPM, inclusive of cookie consent and Identity Access Management (IAM) within the Integrated Marketing Organization in the US. This individual will partner with US Marketing Strategy, Customer Engagement and Customer Experience, UX De-sign/Research Lead(s), Data and Insights Analytics (DIA), Data Digital and IT (DD&IT), international business partners and other teams to design customer-centric approaches to privacy compliance, preferences gathering/implementation, and IAM to meet aligned business and customer requirements through-out the product lifecycle. This role collaborates with the Privacy and Information Security teams to gain understanding of regulatory/consent requirements, and collaborates with marketing partners to build user and business use cases for the enablement of personalized marketing activities across platforms.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the product management vision and strategy for US CPM and IAM. Contribute to the design and alignment for 3-year product roadmaps for technology

  • Work within the defined approach of E2E product governance, ways of working and best practice sharing across the US Organization, engaging with International, as appropriate

  • Actively contribute to and collaborate with product owners and other strategic partner functions (Commercial, NPS, Market Access and Medical), to enable a cohesive product management strategy across the US enterprise to scale knowledge and technology effectively, while operating with consistent and reliable executional excellence

  • Acquire input and feedback from crucial team members to align product strategy and deliver on business outcomes. Incorporate feedback loops from end users (patients, prospects, HCPs) into the technology strategy, product design, and release schedule. Develop and manage ongoing process for collecting product feedback, developing, and prioritizing the backlog of new product opportunities

  • Participate in the annual planning effort, including budgeting and planning, as well as defining group objectives and standards that support the overall Integrated Marketing & Customer Experience organization's objectives for CPM & IAM

  • Own backlog for product development sprints and identify enhancement opportunities

  • Partner with external and internal partners to ensure adherence to standards (privacy and regulatory)

  • Participate in technology vendor selection by identifying desired user outcomes, evaluating tech-nology, and making recommendations

  • Support solution delivery responsibilities (e.g., opportunity assessments and prioritization, budgeting & planning, status reporting, management of issues, risks, decisions and actions across technology solutions, communications, and resource management)

  • Establish cadence around regular sharing of product plans and roadmaps, research results, and software demos

  This position will be located at East Hanover, NJ and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 5% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international). Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.

  Role Requirements

  What You'll Bring to the Role:

  Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred

  Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related technical experience in Product Management, or similar, with multi-functional experience across Commercial Operations, Marketing, CPM and IAM

  • 5 years of leading product management of CPM and IAM in an enterprise environment

  • 3 years of proven experience in operating effective marketing technology configurations and integrations that drive performance and enable effective customer engagement and marketing activities.

  • Relevant experience in transforming businesses through personalized engagement and related product management operations.

  • Knowledge of US and Global privacy landscape, including emerging privacy acts (CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, etc.). Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal policies

  • Demonstrated and effective cross-functional collaboration skills with various partners and teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Technology Transformation, Communications, Privacy, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and Global and external suppliers

  • Thorough with the ability to lead change management while managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.

  • Ability to work closely with technical and data teams to translate business requirements and user needs to architecture and product solutioning.

  Desirable Requirements:

  • Certifications such as IAPP a plus

  The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $192,000 and $288,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
