Plan and implement development and training programs for buyers and other team members.Maintain quality standards for the group and set and manage expectations regarding communication and responsiveness.Partner with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure a standard set of expectations on inventory and efficiencies are being driven across the organization.Monitor CDC/RDC and local branch inventory. Identify opportunities to improve turns and DIO.Participate in Sonepar meetings on inventory management. Review the impact of suggested changes with North Coast Leadership and provide feedback on an implementation plan, alternatives, and options.Participate in vendor reviews and other related activities.What You Will Bring:5 years (7-10 years preferred) prior experience in procurement and purchasing.3-5 years prior experience supervising and developing a team.Solar Eclipse ERP experience preferred, but an ability to deeply learn North Coast purchasing and ERP systems.Knowledge of the electrical distribution industry as an assetExcellent capabilities with Excel. Familiarity and competence with all other MS Suite (Teams, PPT, Word, Sharepoint, OneDrive, etc.)Organized and detail-oriented, interacting with customers and colleagues effectively.Effective manager and developer of strategies, KPIs, persons and teamsPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Office environment is mainly seated at a desk.Heavy phone and computer useThe usual 40-hour work week is Monday through Friday; however, evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required based on business needs.Requires punctual, regular, and reliable on-site attendance.Salary & Compensation:This position is an exempt position and not subject to overtime.Pay is $142,200 to $211,500 annually, DOEWhy work for North Coast?
