Builds viable data solutions using data management and modeling best practices using Data Lakes and Cloud data platforms - Snowflake. Supports compliance reporting, and risk and fraud detection models by providing a semantic layer around data spread across Data Lakes. Provides data solutions using SQL or Python and Jira/Jira Align. Enforces data quality controls using automated processes. Collaborates with team leaders to establish analytic standards, best practices, and influence strategic decisions. Defines use cases and simplifies complex concepts for data quality control. Captures business requirements and translates them to data solutions. Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Designs and delivers data models.Maintains data map specifications.Manages extract and load processes for data ingestion.Defines user stories and validates the impact of changes to datasets and models.Manages data quality within an Agile environment.Performs data analysis and profiling.Defines robust test scenarios to deliver scalable and high performing data solutions.Consults on the development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.Consults on the deployment of major project deliverables.Sets visions, goals, and direction of the team/organization. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization wide projects.Advises senior management on technical strategy.Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.Identifies and plans for future resource needs.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis and modeling, using SQL, PL/SQL, and Python in a financial services domain.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis and modeling, using SQL, PL/SQL, and Python in a financial services domain.

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing complex dimensional models and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) to create conceptual, logical, and physical models according to standards, taxonomy, and best practices, using data modeling tools - SAP Power Designer or Oracle Designer; and coaching, mentoring, and developing associates to analyze and deliver scalable and high performing solutions using conceptual, relational, and dimensional modeling.DE designing, developing, and supporting data driven solutions and data warehouses, using Oracle, Snowflake, SQL, PL/SQL, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, NiFi, and Python; scheduling jobs to refresh data warehouses, using Control-M or Autosys; deploying code changes using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools - Jenkins and Bitbucket; debugging and tuning complex SQL statements; and establishing data governance, cataloging, and change management practices using Alation and Collibra.DE collaborating with business stakeholders in financial services, risk, compliance, and anti-money laundering domains to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions; and collaborating to establish analytic standards, best practices, and strategic decisions around product roadmap and architectural decisions.DE creating projects stories, backlogs, and references using enterprise tools - Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence - to execute project deliverables; providing project management for Scrum teams -¬creating and project managing business, design, development, and test stories - according to Agile methodologies; and performing backlog refinement, retrospective, and sprint planning within a financial services compliance environment.
