The Director, Consultant & Broker Relations will be responsible for:
Influencing internally and externally
Participate and lead networking/engagement activities as dictated by business needs and oversee brand awareness
Responsible for Financial Analysis including national partner compensation strategies
Lead Strategy & Growth for segment
Conduct Competitive Intelligence and Market Analysis
Job Qualifications:
Detailed understanding of group benefits industry with a comprehensive understanding of brokers and their clientsA "can-do", activity-oriented individual who has the inherent drive and energy to follow through in the pursuit of measurable results.Strong, clear communication skills and the ability to deliver both good and bad news in a timely and effective manner.Strong strategic thinking skills and complex problem-solving abilities; ability to leverage market and competitor intelligence as well as Home Office support functions.Strong influencing skills - ability effectively influence others in a complex matrixed organization.Ability to be unusually persuasive and to develop and leverage relationships across a wide range of professional peers, internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of experience working in Sales Management, Field Underwriting, or Distribution Management within group benefits insurance
This position requires the ability to travel extensively (~50% of the time).
Required Certifications/Licenses
Life Accident and Health License is preferred for candidates. Employees hired into this position without this license are required to obtain the license within 90 days of employment. - Required
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$129,440 - $194,160
