UC's annual budget tops $1.65 billion and its endowment totals $1.8 billion.Job OverviewThe Director provides instructional design and pedagogical leadership to ensure that best practices and quality standards guide curriculum development, design, and delivery of all UC Clermont courses that use online content and delivery modes. Working with the Associate Dean, Department Chairs, and current Center for Teaching, Learning and Innovation staff (Sr. Instructional Designer and Instructional Technology/Access Specialist), the Director will develop a strategic plan for the unit.This position will be located in Batavia, Ohio for the University of Cincinnati, Clermont College.Essential FunctionsDepartmental Leadership and Digital Strategy:Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to identify digital learning requirements and priorities to create a strategic plan.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital learning to drive innovation and continuous improvement.Work with the CTLI staff/UC Clermont faculty to create a course development/redesign schedule and faculty training/development plan.Work with the CTLI staff to lead UC Clermont faculty through accessibility initiatives, including compliance training and course/file remediation.Build a sustainable team and systems approach to support the rapid expansion of online learning across UC Clermont.Lead CTLI department meetings and facilitate ongoing communication with the department members and student workers.Collaborate with academic program directors to develop and modify courses that align with the college's strategic vision, learning outcomes, and best practices in online education.Instructional Design and Training:Provide guidance, support, and training to instructional designers, trainers, and end-users on leveraging digital learning technologies effectively.Coordinate resources, personnel, and processes to ensure that instructional design projects and course developments are delivered promptly meeting the agreed-upon goals and objectives.Serve as an advanced-level resource to faculty in the application of instructional design techniques and assist with new technology adoption.Review and evaluate the instructional effectiveness of course materials to support continuous improvement.Lead the development and maintenance of resources such as tutorials, reference materials, design standards, content resources, templates, workshops, and tools for instructional development.Proficient in applying quality assurance standards for online learning, including Quality Matters.Data-Driven Insights and Analytics:Define and implement data analytics strategies to measure the effectiveness, impact, and learner engagement of digital learning programs.Use learning analytics to continuously improve digital learning offerings, identify areas for improvement, and personalize learning experiences.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in a field appropriat
