About Director, Center for Innovation

  Description: The Center for Innovation (Lighthouse) is a vital resource and support organization to the Lockheed Martin Business Areas, Lockheed Martin’s customer set, particularly the Services, and other elements of Corporate Engineering, Technologies, and Operations.

  The Center, which provides an unmatched environment for collaboration in wargaming, concept development and experimentation, is designed to enable a wide range of activities which support improved understanding and analytic approaches to the development of solutions for Lockheed Martin customers. Wargames, seminars, workshops, experiments, and demonstrations, all with an analytical underpinning, are used to understand, influence and inform customer concepts, development, priorities, policy, and doctrine. This same environment and its activities provide insights and support internal analysis and decision-making for Lockheed Martin.

  In this role, the Director, Center for Innovation will be responsible for the following:

  - Lead and manage all aspects of the facility, its operations and the assigned workforce.

  - Direct the development of strategic and operational plans and priorities, including associated budgets, architectures, technology, program management, schedules, workforce development, and maintenance and upkeep.

  - Coordinate with LM support organizations at the Lighthouse including Engineering, Information Technology, Security, and Facilities.

  - Lead customer engagement planning and execution at the Center.

  - Coordinate within Lockheed Martin to support planning and execution of engagements and activities, and ensure the Center provides value creation for customers and the company alike.

  Basic Qualifications:

  - Experienced, comfortable and confident with interactions with senior internal and external customers; ability to influence at all levels

  - Understanding of the customer planning, programming and budget system

  - Strategic planning

  - Leadership experience at multiple levels, each of increasing responsibility

  - Understanding of customer CONOPS, doctrine, Joint and Service operations and sustainment strategies

  - Outstanding communication skills; written and verbal

  - Balanced confident demeanor; able to and knows when appropriate to seize the initiative and drive change, and/or to support and empower high-performing teams

  - Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

  Desired Skills:

  - Active TS/SCI clearance

  - Technical, engineering background

  - Experience in analysis and assessments

  - Understanding of the strategic, global security environment

  - Financial management experience

  Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

  Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
