Job Description:
The Director - Business Intelligence & Insights (BIA) role is a leadership role within ETGS Finance responsible for delivering accurate, high quality financial insights to the Finance and Technology leadership and creating high value and outstanding experience to all stakeholders. Role involves analyzing various aspects of technology spend and structure, find opportunities to improve and optimally communicate such opportunities to the senior management.
The position is based out of US and reports to the Vice President, Finance.
Specifically, the role will be responsible for:
Focuses on broader, strategic projects. Identifies and initiates engagements that provide insights in alignment with the Firm's strategic objectivesProactively identifies business problems, formulates analytical approaches, captures required data from various sources and delivers actionable insights from the analyses Build partnerships with other Finance groups, Technology organizations and Strategic Planning offices to support organization-wide efforts with finance analyticsEngage actively with other Analytics and Data groups across peer Finance and Technology organizationsInterprets key issues on a broader external context and for internal review. Presents implications and recommendations with a strategic perspective. Influences management actionsGuides decisions for application of financial models to meet business needs on a sustainable basis. Provides oversight to ensure consistency of methodology and quality/ reasonableness of output. Effectively defines output for decision makingFinds opportunities for process improvements. Develops strategies to address. Opportunities including people, process and/or technology solutions. Partners with related business functions to develop and implement. Cultivate an environment of process improvement and controls. Ensures integration and alignment with external process and control initiatives

Experienced and knowledgeable in financial data analytics, structured thinking, a data-driven approach, business savvy and a collaborative spirit to partner with stakeholders and understand critical business questionsStrong data mining, visualization and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of Data Querying (SQL or equivalent), Statistics, Data modeling and analytical techniquesGood to have knowledge of software tools like R and PythonGood understanding of technology cost drivers and emerging technological trendsDeals effectively with higher levels of situational ambiguity to surface, resolve and avoid issues with internal and external constituenciesAbility to interpret key issues, make decisions, suggest recommendations using existing procedures and toolsAbility to collaborate across the larger organization, engage / leverage existing COEs, building partnerships across stakeholders to provide integrated solutionsPromote and develop an environment of innovation to design and deliver new processes, promote automation which help improve scale and efficiency, business growth and investment performance

Qualified candidate with a undergraduate/ graduate (e.g. MBA) from a reputed institution 12+ years of post-qualification experiencePrior experience in data analytics
