Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated career and customer-oriented Digital Engineering Specialist III in Glen Burnie, MD. Please note that while this position is in Glen Burnie, the ideal candidate can sit in any ManTech approved facility within the Washington DMV area.
The Digital Engineering Specialist’s primary function is to lead the transition of document-based engineering operations to digitally enabled engineering operations. This includes understanding the current engineering processes, practices, methods, plans, and tools an NSIN or its mission partners currently use and any known gaps in engineering capabilities and inefficiencies. The Digital Engineering Specialist III supervises and mentors subordinate project and team ManTech staff.
Performance shall include:
Understand the engineering value chain and its internal and external customers.
Manage the risk associated with the transition, supporting a team of Systems Engineers with automating processes, managing knowledge, training staff, and overseeing service transitions.
Manage costs related to services and tools, ensure security infrastructure operations are compliant with regulations, manage identity access management infrastructure operations as per regulations, oversee cross-domain infrastructure operations according to regulations, lead cybersecurity infrastructure operations in accordance with regulations, direct cybersecurity operations based on regulations, and manage IT audit infrastructure operations as per SOW regulations.
Lead operators, data/metrics/analytics teams, and engineering/delivery teams to ensure successful completion of the digital transformation process.
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Computational Engineering, Model-Based Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines and 9 or more years of experience.
5 years of relevant experience with digital transformation or business transformation projects.
2 or more years of software vendor management experience.
Experience with SysML and Engineering software tools like Cameo Enterprise Architect, Engineering Simulation software like ANSYS, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or Computer Aided Technologies (CAx) for engineering disciplines.
A High School Diploma and 13 years of experience or an Associates and 11 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a Degree.
A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
Desired Education and Experience:
OCSMP SysML Certifications.
INCOSE Certifications.
Security Clearance:
Current Secret Clearance is required.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
