　　The Open Communications Systems (OCS) organization within Collins Aerospace, is designing communications systems for Next Generation technologies across a wide variety of platforms. This position is for a Digital Design Electrical Engineer to work in the hardware design and development department. This position entails working with and in a multi-disciplinary team creating and improving new designs.

　　This position is eligible for relocation assistance.

　　Responsibilities to Anticipate: • Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for modern communication systems • Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

　　Qualifications/Experience Needed: • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience • Development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design • Ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration • Experience with PCB design process and expertise in tools used to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution • Active SECRET Security Clearance

　　Security Clearance: • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

　　Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production • Complex circuit card assemblies between 16 and 32 layers • Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools: DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, and Xilinx (Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado, Atrix) • Experience using PCB electronic circuit design software: HyperLynx signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB) • Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development

　　The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
