Job Overview :
The Communications and Marketing Intern supports a variety of internal and external programs as an integral part of the global communications team. This includes planning, project management, research, market analysis, writing and other tactics to shape and execute communications and messaging strategies, media relations, content for digital and traditional channels, monitoring industry trends, contributing to overall creative initiatives, formulating and implementing plans.
The successful candidate will have strong desire to build diverse experience across internal and external communications and marketing activities. The Intern is a versatile, self-driven, reliable team member and detailed-oriented project manager comfortable with internal and external communications. A creative mind and a powerful writing skills are a must. Responsibilities include developing project plans and creating the content that brings them to life to support overall business outcomes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist in brainstorming and implementing tactics in support of communication strategies relating to organizational and business initiatives, business line and employee stories, marketing materials and digital content.
Track requests for information and feedback on various communication products.
Write, review and proof marketing materials
Support media relations strategies including writing, influencer identification, publicity monitoring
Assist development of digital content (social, web)
Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
Perform market analysis and research on competition
Support the marketing communications team in daily administrative tasks
Monitor and measure publicity and message resonance
Write, create and implement intranet news stories and email announcements.
Support digital asset management, tagging and recording
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Interest in public relations, journalism, marketing communications or related field
Pursuit of degree in Communications, Public Relations Marketing or related field
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pursuing a degree and/or interest in Communications or other related area
Experience should include editorial, campaign management, executive communications, marketing writing, digital writing and proofreading ability
Familiarity with Office, Adobe, Teams, SharePoint a plus
