Climax Molybdenum is the world's leading producer of molybdenum and has along, successful history of doing business in a safe, highly efficient andsocially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmlingand Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. OurHenderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by theContinental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles isunderground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.
DescriptionHighly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance andrepair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks,Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and MotorGrader- Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions,engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors,final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components.- Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machinesystems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines.- Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.- Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work areainspections.- Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, andboom trucks.- Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick.- Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.- Train and mentor other employees.- Perform other duties as required.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Two (2) years' experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts(including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facilitymaintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience inindustrial mechanical repair and maintenance.HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP.Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-relatedinstructions and procedures in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, jobprocedures, and applicable safety standardsAbility to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skillsAbility to troubleshoot machine systemsAbility to work and effectively communicate with othersAbility to read and use blueprintsPreferred Qualifications:
