Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a DevSecOpsEngineer (Mid-Level) to support United States Space Force (USSF) bydeveloping software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) CyberOperations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions toprotect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyberadversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problemsolver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a highperforming team in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities:As a DevSecOps Engineer with MTSI, your development activities at the CyberOperations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competenciesto implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, thisprogram office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration ofsecurity at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initialdesign, through integration, testing, deployment, and softwaredelivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensivecyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:Ensures that development and software continuous delivery and integrationsuses security best practices through out the process. Ensures capabilitiesdeployed meet security requirements and test. Works with cloud deploymentactivities to ensure configurations meet STIG or DOD required securitystandards.Qualifications
Required skills:Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government(military and/or civil servant), federally funded research anddevelopment center, or profit or non-profit Government support, ordevelopment contractor arenaExperience in programming languages (at least 2): Java, Node/JS,Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, PythonFamiliarity & knowledge:Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker,GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana,Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & NifiExperience or Knowledge in the following Areas:Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile projectmanagement, software project management, defensive cyber militaryoperations, software development life cycle management, program/projectmanagement, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional teamDesired skills/experience:
Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems CommandExperience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program officeEducation/CertificationMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, datascience, software development or STEM related specialty and 4 years'related professional experience; Or Master's degree in computer science,software engineering, data science, software development, or STEMrelated specialty and 2 years' related professional experienceMust have SAFe for Teams certificationClearance:Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
