About the Role:
As a DevOps Engineer specializing in US healthcare technology, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment processes that underpin our healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare industry standards, compliance, and the technical skills required to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
This is a remote, contract-based role.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
Implement automation scripts to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment workflows
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for stability and efficiency
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations in all DevOps practices
Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and system maintenance
Collaborate on security measures, ensuring the highest level of data protection
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on US healthcare technology
Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes
Experience with monitoring tools and practices for ensuring system reliability
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for continuous learning and professional development
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Nice to Have:
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Docker Certified, Kubernetes Certified)
Understanding of healthcare compliance and security standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
Previous work on electronic health record (EHR) systems or healthcare management platforms
