Job Description Our developmental specialists primary role is towrite and maintain individual program plans for adults with disabilitiesthat meet Medicaid/company standards for all clients on your caseload.However, this job is much more. You will help develop and executetraining curriculum for adults with disabilities to achieve the goalsthey have chosen to live the life they want to live. To make this happenyou will spend 1:1 time with the individuals on your caseload in orderto customize their training and then work with the floor staff toexecute this training (you will train the trainers). This is a highenergy up close and personal job that truly does give back however, keyattributes include patience, diplomacy, organizational skills,communication skills and excellent time management. Our system isspecific but intense and supportive training is provided throughout thefirst 4-6 months.
Qualifications - Must possess a bachelors degree in specified fields(see below). All other degrees accepted but if not listed you must passa competency course that we help prepare you for. You must complete twohundred forty (240) hours of professionally supervised experience withindividuals who have developmental disabilities which is also provided.Must maintain current 1st Aid and CPR and complete a Health and Welfarecriminal background check prior to hiring.
