They are a proactive convener andcollaborator with great attention to detail and timely communication skills.The Development Operations & Events Coordinator is a self-starter, aproblem solver, and takes initiative in a fast-paced work environment tofacilitate the efficiency and organization of the Wisconsin Development Team.In this role you will provide general administrative support to the team withduties to include handling logistics for special events, preparingpersonalized thank you letters and other donor correspondence, coordinatingdevelopment mailings (including annual renewals and event invitations),and other administrative responsibilities such as ordering supplies,calendaring, managing digital and paper files, and facilitating teammeetings. You also will help support and coordinate engagement between asubset of our donors and the Director of Development and the Wisconsin StateDirector. You will be required to use the Conservancy's donordatabase and related technology for donor/constituent management. TheDevelopment Operations & Events Coordinator is an excellentcommunicator and a responsive, driven teammate. You will anticipate program needs andopportunities and share those with colleagues to solve problems, improveprocedures, and nurture an effective and ambitious team culture.WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUThe Development Operations & Events Coordinator is committed to adonor-centric approach to fundraising. This position is often the first persondonors (and others interested in supporting TNC) will interact with andmust provide a high level of customer service.As the Development Operations& Events Coordinator, you will support the strategic priorities ofthe eight-person Wisconsin Development Team as we raise funding for criticalconservation needs. In this role you must quickly build advanced knowledge ofthe systems and resources utilized by TNC and the team to provide programmaticsupport and coordinate communications related to the resources. You willcomplete activities with multiple variables, setti g realistic deadlines,managing the timeline of the overall program, and enhancing the systems andtools used by the team. Responsibilities include coordinating team meetings,managing mailings for donor audiences, serving as the first point of contactfor questions from members and colleagues, planning special events, andproviding general program and administrative support. Additionally, you willserve as part of a cohort of chapter operations staff that support additionalprograms and projects within the Wisconsin chapter as required. The successfulcandidate will bring a people-focused, proactive approach to their work;is flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment; has a strongcommitment to continuous learning; and demonstrates genuine enthusiasm forsupporting fundraising to protect the land and waters on which all lifedepends.Duties include: This roles responsiblities will be split 60/40.60% of the time the focus will be on administration and support. 40% ofthe time will be fcoused on event planning/coordination Provideadministrative support to ensure individual workstreams are moving forwardaccording to timelines, properly documented, and the team feels adequatelysupported, prepared, informed, and coordinated on project plans andprogress. Act independently on assigned tasks and exercise independentjudgment based on analysis and experience. Coordinate projects with multiplevariables and participants and work within a defined timeline. Financialresponsibility includes working within a budget, processing invoices, andcontracting with vendors. Provide input for the improvement of existingprocedures and programs. Work within scope of program's strategicgoals. Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information. Referdifficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor. Infrequent travel andworking flexible hours. Work environment involves only infrequent exposure todisagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain. Ensurecompliance with TNC policies and procedures, and external(donor/legal/IRS) requirements. Does not supervise any staff, butmay supervise interns, volunteers, and/or temporary staff. Work is diversifiedWHAT YOU'LL BRINGMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and 2 years'experience OR equivalent combination. Experience building relationships withstaff, customers or similar. Experience managing and implementing multipleprojects. Experience generating reports and interpreting data. Experience inbusiness writing, editing, and proofreading. Experience working acrossteams.DE
