Amentum is seeking a Deputy Program Manager/ IT Project Manager to support our Naval customers at NSWC Dahlgren and Fredericksburg, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skill sets across multiple contracts. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference! Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. The ability to take direction and operate independently, as well as participate in team environments, is necessary for this support effort. While after COVID, the work environment enables remote support to be maximized, this position requires ability to report to Dahlgren as needed to supplement telecommuting as well as meet with our customers in person on base. If a remote worker is not located in the Fredericksburg or Dahlgren area, the travel requirements may not be supported by the contract, however freedom to schedule and self-manage day to day responsibilities and schedule is expected.

　　Daily Duties entail:

　　Prepare and upload technical effort weekly inputs

　　Manage weekly IT project requirements by working with facility security, system administrators, ISSM, ISSO, software engineers, program manager and customer to develop project long term facility requirements and identify issues with resolution strategies.

　　Work with contracting, finance, program management, operations management, ISSM, security and engineers to develop innovative solutions to meet contract service support requirements.

　　Ability to assist in preparation, review and approval of new hire paperwork including Computer User Account Request Forms, Managers New Hire Checklist, set up in varied company database systems

　　Assist in preparation, review and editing monthly government reports to the customer

　　Support monthly corporate program management reviews

　　Support personnel management with both human and process touchpoints that enable retention, recruiting, timecards, on-boarding, interviewing, growth and sense of job-satisfaction/well-being for relatively young team of engineers who work in 5 disparate locations in the Dahlgren/Fredericksburg area

　　Analysis of processes that need improvement with ability to work 6Sigma-type process improvement efforts and see them through to completion on a collaborative team

　　Ability to manage multiple projects and self-manage deadlines and priorities - Willingness to travel to Dahlgren, VA or Fredericksburg, VA on short notice if personnel or security issues pop up unexpectedly/develop action plan to cover gaps, resources, needs quickly and effectively

　　Required Qualifications:

　　US Citizen AND Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Information Science, Math, Engineering, or Related Field) and 15 years of experience managing technical weekly efforts, IT projects, systems, personnel, varied cyber security classification systems and building/network redesign projects.

　　Comprehensive knowledge in definition and management of software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation.

　　Supervises personnel that plan, perform, and lead software design, coding, and testing.

　　Experience or knowledge of in an Agile software development environment and methodologies. Certified Scrum Master qualification or able to obtain it.

　　IT Level 2 certification or ability to obtain it within 3 months of start -5 years of program/project level experience in software design/software architecture/network architecture or similar.

　　5 years of experience performing detailed and complex management of projects entailing software design, development, infrastructure development, software and network growth in a facility.

　　10 years’ experience management of IT systems, people, tools, long term requirements - Ability to Commute: to Fredericksburg, VA (1 hour south of Washington D.C.)

　　Preferred Experience:

　　Security clearance: current secret clearance. Amentum has ability to hold clearances higher than Secret.

　　US Citizenship is required for employment

　　7 years system administrator experience or comparable knowledge and experience

　　Atlassian tool suites, Jira (for issue tracking) and Confluence (decision tracking) familiarity or use (desired)
