The Disney Cruise Line Port Operations team plans itineraries and the deployment of our current and future fleet. As the Deployment Analytics Manager you will support the business with data preparation, validation, analysis, and reporting. You will serve as a subject matter authority and access data from multiple sources. You will organize this to allow the business to make effective data driven decisions. You will take your knowledge, curiosity and interest for data and apply your strong analytics skills, automation knowledge and independent thinking to help craft the future!
Responsibilities
Support a robust automated data management process that builds data sources and reports used across DCL Port Operations and operational partners
Support deployment decision making by developing useful data sets
Transform large data sets into tools and reports that tell a clear story and drive decisions
Liaise between Technology and data consumers about data development and technology updates and processes
Partner with various departments inclusive of Revenue Management, Consumer Insight, Marine & Technical Operations and Port Operations to address and solve data challenges and answer sophisticated questions
Analyze ad hoc requests that influence a larger data driven organization
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements that use large data sets and provide improved results
Partner to develop reports and data requests based on business needs and consumer requirements
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in an analytical role
Experience using Excel, SQL, VBA, Power BI and Tableau (or other data visualization software) to manipulate and report on large data sets
Natural curiosity to use data to solve sophisticated problems with a consistent track record to think analytically and creatively
Self-motivated and thorough, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
Shown success collaborating with a range of partners
Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results
Desired Qualifications
Cruise industry experience
Ability and excitement to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics and/or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent with a strong focus on data management & analytics, or equivalent work experience#DCLPJ
