　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will assist with data entry, manipulation, and interpretation for an underground coal mine and/or coal refuse disposal area permit revision, as well as water loss investigations and stream flow recovery evaluations. You will support the California District Office in various aspects of the permitting process for underground coal mines and/or coal refuse disposal areas. You will assist the permitting staff with data entry and basic trend analysis, focusing on groundwater and surface water quality data submitted as part of the permit revision. Additionally, you will assist the hydraulic engineer in reviewing National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits by performing data entry and calculating the drainage area for receiving streams.
