We are currently seeking a Director of Demand Planning to support our end-to-end planning and managment of the demand signal for North America. This role is responsible for: the quality of the forecasts in terms of accuracy, timeliness, coordination and communication; the continual improvement of the demand forecasting process and metrics for all North American businesses; working collaboratively with business and service units to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness of forecast and inventory while keeping our brand strategies and customer needs central to our goals.
Role expectations:
Demand Planning & Forecasting: Lead the delivery of unbiased, fact based forecast of unconstrained/constrained demand, forecast drivers, risk, opportunity and contingency plans at total North America level.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain productive relationships with BUs, Merch, Channel Planning, Supply Planning and Marketing to ensure forecast drivers are informed, understood, and in line with brand strategies and consumer needs.
Strategic Leadership: Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with BUs, Merch, Channel Planning, Supply Planning, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure current and accurate inputs (internal and external) are used and understood in demand forecasts.
Collaborate with Supply Planning in the development of inventory strategies for existing/ on-going items, new products, and phase outs, maximizing efficiency and outcome for the entire Jockey Organization. Leverage product life cycle guidance from Merch and assortment optimization direction from BUs/ Channel Planning.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-driven performance.
Reporting: Data Science & Analytics capabilities are advanced. Partner with IT to ensure databases and source data for planning tools are accurate.
Required Experience:
10+ years of Forecasting/Planning and/or Inventory Management experience
Familiarity with retail & wholesale businesses preferred. Apparel experience a plus.
Proven leadership experience
