　　We are seeking an outstanding Database Engineer to join our team. This job involves design reviews for new/existing development transportation technologies applications, identify and architect right RDBMS database solutions like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Big Data or No SQL based cloud computing and storage technologies, executing projects to deliver high quality deliverables on time, defining development processes for continuous improvement, driving the technology direction and leading the database engineering team effectively.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　Responsibilities in this role:

　　This job requires Engineer with 4+ years experience in DynamoDB and involves both consulting and hands on expertise to help in new/existing Database implementations, development of tools to facilitate database migration, identify and architect right DynamoDB based storage technologies, executing projects to deliver high quality deliverables on time, defining continuous improvement, driving the technology direction and leading the database engineering team effectively.

　　You will work with multiple internal teams who are moving their storage from RDBMS to DynamoDB. You will use your deep technical expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and documentation skills to create technical content, provide consultation to customers, and gather feedback to drive the DynamoDB support offering . You will work with DynamoDB product managers and engineering teams as the voice of the customer, helping design and deliver new features and product improvements that solve the biggest customer challenges.

　　A day in the life

　　A typical day on our team involves collaborating with other engineers to deploying new Databases through our large automated systems, and operationally supporting your newly deployed software. You will seek out new approaches to automate fixes for operational issues, use AWS services to solve design problems, and engage other internal teams to integrate your applications with theirs.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

　　4+ years of experience as a DBA, Database Engineer, or similar role is required.

　　3+ years experience DynamoDB, NoSQL Databases and/or other relational databases like RDS, PostgreSQL.

　　2+ years of experience in Database migrations, Creation of Objects in SQL, NoSQL technologies.

　　1+ Experience with RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Redshift and/or other RDBMS systems Experience in UNIX shell and SQL, and

　　At least one procedural language such as Python, Ruby, Java, Perl

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience in supporting large-scale high-availability systems in a production environment.

　　Worked or Contributed to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

　　Experience with Amazon Web Services such as IAM, EC2, S3, CLI, SDK or equivalent cloud services.

　　Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Development lifecycle & best practices for coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

　　Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, ReactJS.

　　Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter.

　　Excellent problem-solving skills.
