Job Duties:Design and create novel forward contracts for the programmatic advertising ecosystem.by combining economic theory of markets and statistical properties of cryptographic data structures. Examine cryptographic theories to create new and improved data structures that allow privacy safe exchange of key audience information for forward contracts. Apply various statistical, probabilistic and machine learning models to forecast of future availability of inventory which will form the basis of forward contracts. Develop statistical methods to ensure the quality of and reliability of data provided by both buyers and sellers of forward contracts. Run simulations to quantify the errors introduced by probabilistic data structure and demonstrate the business gain for publishers and advertisers with game theory. Program in Scala and Spark to implement algorithms and data structures at the scale of terabytes and petabytes. Present work to stakeholders on both the buy side and sell side of forward contracts. Ensure parity between the data provided by buyers and the data provided by sellers in forward contracts.
Salary: $174,117 - $220,800/year
Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a data-driven role OR Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a data-driven role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: machine learning, time series and simulation; programming in Scala, Python, R, and SQL; and data analysis, pattern mining, and
visualization. Must have one (1) year of experience with: big data and cloud computing technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, and AWS; and privacy-safe data storage, measurement, and modeling.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$174,117-$220,800 USD
