Description Robert Half has joined forces with a well-respected company to look for a team-oriented Bookkeeper for immediate hire. If you have worked with A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting, then you may be the right candidate for this Bookkeeper opportunity. This long-term contract / temporary position is a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper who wants to work in the Santa Barbara, California area.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Conduct and manage the general ledger

　　Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

　　Manage a well-organized system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

　　Examine payments received and record deposits

　　Look after archived records by categorizing documents

　　Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

　　Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries Requirements - Previous experience using accounting software

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Clerical Duties

　　Proficiency in customer service

　　Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

　　Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　General familiarity with bank reconciliations

　　Foundational knowledge in bookkeeping

　　Knowledge of Microsoft Office

　　BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

　　3+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
