They will research data entry from the electronic medical record (EMR) into Excel and REDCap, work with UKY CCTS to extract data reports from the EMR, perform data review and cleaning. They will present data orally and in writing via oral reports at weekly group meetings, written summaries of research projects. They will also coordinate and implement procedures to collect data from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests, and other sources. The specialist will facilitate the execution of data use agreements/research service agreements/contracts, invoices and communications with multicenter clinical research sites.They are primarily responsible for analyzing large data sets, identifying important relationships and trends, and communicating findings to the study principal investigator. They will plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in the development and implementation of data analyses for multiple pharmaceutical outcomes research projects using SPSS/SQL/SAS/R/Python for data management and statistical operations. To ensure efficient functioning, this individual will handle: Review journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in planning of new studies.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesElectronic medical records knowledge, REDCap/Excel knowledge; excellent writing and project management skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
