  CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Data Integration Developer. In this position, you will work with multiple IT disciplines in shaping, executing and sustaining the Cloud/Hosting strategy for a shared service platform focused on identifying and mitigating a wide range of cyber risks. You will work closely with the Cloud Architecture and Operations teams to support the client’s mission, priorities and unique challenges. You will also support the implementation of cyber security COTS offerings focusing on next generation security solutions and technologies.

  This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

  Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data integration modules to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.

  • Implement algorithms for data correlation, data validation and data enrichment

  • Implement various data quality improvement techniques using AI/ML methodologies.

  • Write powerful SQL queries to support APIs for internal and external use.

  • Optimize data pipeline for security and performance.

  • Write data adapters for targeted data sources.

  • Work with emerging and innovative technologies to develop solutions supporting innovation efforts around data analysis, process improvement, machine learning and other software and systems that support the client’s mission.

  • Support users by establishing environments, support configuration changes and updates.

  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement and re-engineering methodology to improve system performance.

  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with multiple project teams.

  Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

  • Advanced experience in developing AWS cloud based applications using Python.

  • Advanced experience in writing AWS Lambda functions in Python and ability to orchestrate those using AWS Step Functions.

  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot existing logic units in code modules.

  • Advanced experience in writing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) jobs and ability to troubleshoot ETL tasks.

  • Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction and validation.

  • An advanced understanding of JSON and XML.

  • Expert in configuring AWS EventBridge in scheduling and triggering tasks.

  • Ability to research data availability and mechanisms (APIs) for extracting data from targeted data sources.

  • Develop data adapters to transform data into a targeted format.

  • Thorough knowledge of code building and deployment tools including Git and experience in CI/CD processes.

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing container (Docker) solutions on Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of client deliverables and technical content.

  • Ability to manage multiple priority tasks.

  • Self-motivated task identification.

  Desired qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.

  • Experience in the design, deployment and integration of on premise and hybrid cloud solutions.

  • Understanding of various data formats and payload structures.

  •Terraform experience is preferred.

  CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $161,600.
