Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in Piscataway, New Jersey. In this role, you will be part of a team working on developing and debugging complex software and workflows within a high-performance computing (HPC) environment. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of programming languages, preferably Python, and experience with workflow engines such as Airflow, StreamFlow, or Prefect. Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or cloud provider platforms like AWS will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
• Developing software and workflows within an HPC environment using languages such as Python
• Debugging complex software and workflows within an HPC environment to ensure optimal performance
• Utilizing knowledge of workflow engines such as Airflow, StreamFlow, or Prefect to optimize workflows
• Working with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or cloud provider platforms like AWS
• Applying skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, Apache Airflow to meet project goals
• Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of software development processes
• Collaborating with the team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve code-related issues
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to stay ahead of emerging issues
• Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members
• Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet organizational needs. Requirements • The candidate must hold a minimum of three years' experience in a Software Engineering role.
• Proficiency in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, and Apache Airflow is essential.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in managing and executing software development projects.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to staying abreast of industry advancements in software engineering and technology.
