Job Function: This 12-month, full-time position reports to the Associate Director and Director of Counseling, Disability, and Health Services. Within this integrated health and wellness department, the primary function of this position is to communicate, educate, and offer support to MCC students to meet the compliance requirements of health-related and disability-related records, ensure accurate electronic medical records of all enrolled student populations, and facilitate the integration of technology as it relates to our internal and external health systems.
Primary Functions:
Ensure the accuracy of the migration of MCC's internal Banner system of student registration information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system
Serve as the primary liaison with the College's external EMR vendor
Serve as primary liaison of EMR systems with College's internal technology
Support with the exchange of immunization records between our internal EMR system and the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS)
Ensure the EMR system and associated modules are running the latest versions
Support with the web/technology infrastructure needed to support with strategic initiatives of the office
Ensure programs accurately depict various student populations for health-related programs, athletics, international and students residing in on-campus housing
Participate with on-campus Residence Life office to ensure students are meeting the requirements to reside on-campus
Collaborate with the Athletic department to ensure NJCAA immunization/health requirements align accurately with the requirements within the EMR system for student athletic participation
Work in partnership with each health-related program (Nursing, Radiology Technology, Surgical Technology, Clinical Lab Technology, Dental Studies, and Emergency Medical Technician/Services) to ensure program requirements align accurately with the EMR system for participation in clinical settings
Support Global Education and International Services to ensure requirements align accurately with the EMR system as it relates to our international students
Create reports with accuracy from extraction of data for internal and external use
Manage and resolve technology issues and inconsistent data reports
Assist with the creation, automation and documentation of communications using Argos reports
Educate faculty/staff/students as it relates to the Student Health Services Portal
Manage ongoing tracking of immunization requirements
Maintain accurate student health & wellness records and reporting
Maintain strict adherence to the ethical principles, standards, and maintain confidentiality of all student counseling, disability, and health-related records
Review and inventory of appropriate medical supplies
Support with the acknowledgment and verification of incoming student records/documents
Support with the promotion of student wellness initiatives
Support with front office duties (e.g. appointment scheduling, phones, etc.)
Perform other duties and responsibilities that contribute to the service offerings of the department and mission of the College assigned by the supervisors of the department

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical experience that involved data entry or word processing; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree, plus two (2) years' experience as defined in (A); OR, (C) Any equivalent.
Experience working in a medical office and/or educational setting
In depth knowledge and experience utilizing an electronic management/medical system.
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and highly motivated professional
Demonstrate competence in effective communication (interpersonal, speaking, and writing) skills
Monroe County Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned bachelor's degree in health information management/technology, computer science, student development or a closely related field
First Aid training in Mental Health, CPR/AED certifications
Experience working with health and wellness related agencies
Additional Information:
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: M - F 8:45am to 4:45pm
Salary: $43,729.65 per year with increment after 6 months of service
