To support Shell’s ambition, Property Lease Analyst will play a key role supporting Corporate Real Estate in driving operating effectiveness through the administration of property and lease data and working with FO expenditure to drive accurate postings of monthly rents and related costs. The candidate will also work closely with business contacts, suppliers and Corporate Real Estate.
The role also encompasses specific responsibility for supporting a variety processes and knowledge areas, including knowledge or Real Estate Leases, Data Quality discipline, strong financial understanding to ensure successful end to end system set up and management and payments of property leases using existing systems and processes. The new team will continue to grow as additional countries are brought on board. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the data collection and ramp up as new countries are preparing for go live.
This is a good opportunity for people who would like to develop a thorough knowledge of the Real Estate business and systems and have regular interaction with key stakeholders as needed to support the various activities.
What’s the role?
As Data Analyst – Lease Admin you will be responsible for:
Property and Contract Master Data management - maintain and update property and lease master data applicable systems, coordinate the setup of master reference data (vendors, customers, cost centers etc.) through appropriate MRD teams. Scan and attach lease documents
Recurring & Non-Recurring AP Payment set up - process contract updates including updates from invoices received from Landlord/Vendor towards Rent, CAM, Operating Expense, Utilities, RE Tax etc. Process both recurring and non-recurring (one-time payment) conditions in SERP RE-FX contracts based on requisite documents.
Communicate with Landlord / Tenant for any back-up request and/or other account balance queries that may come-up during the Lease Management process (by email and/or phone). Scan and attach documents to the RE-FX contract.
Accrual Processing - follow up with Business and FO to ensure accruals and straight lining are processed manually by them for new contracts and contract updates
Data check requests - forward data update requests to the PMs/PDAs where invoice details do not match the lease data stored in RE-FX.
Error processing - trouble shoot with the relevant AP Team when I-docs are rejected in GSAP and other ERP system.
What we need from you?
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Work Experience Required: Lease administration, abstractors, accounting
Strong understanding of Property Lease Management and real estate principles
Must have at least 2 – 4 years of experience in Finance and Retail industry
Technical Skills required: Microsoft Excel
Preferably with experience in Power BI
Good communication skills
Behavioral Competencies:
Must be keen to details and proactive
Willing to learn to handle multiple priorities
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clarity
