ARES is seeking a cybersecurity software security assessor to join our cybercompliance and risk assessment team supporting our Nation's ballisticmissile defense program. This individual will perform software security andrisk assessments on custom software solutions, Government-off-the-Shelf(GOTS), Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS), and Open Source Software(OSS) intended for use withing Government information systems. Theindividual will provide support for verification and validation of softwareassurance artifacts, including code scans and threat analyses.Positions are available on-site at Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, AL) andSchriever Space Force Base (Colorado Springs, CO).Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.DoD IAT Level II or III equivalent certification such as Security+,SSCP, CASP+, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.Experience with OWASP, static and dynamic software analysis techniques,and common software security tools such as Fortify.Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java,C, C++, C#, or Python.Knowledge of scripting languages and environments (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles and technical environments/toolsincluding CI/CD pipelines, containerization, microservices, etc.Understanding of the software development lifecycle and common agilemanagement methodologies.Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, andGoogle Cloud Platform.ARES offers a competitive compensation and benefit package.
