　　Covanta's Lancast, PA facility seeks a dedicated Back Plant Operator who will be responsible for performing various essential duties at our Energy from Waste Power Plant.

　　The Back Plant Operator will responsible for smooth, safe and efficient operation of the Crane and monitoring proper pit management. You will also perform daily crane preventative maintenance and checks.

　　Back Plant Operators are the backbone of our operation and the facility could not run properly without their help. Come join our team, located at our Harrisburg, PA facility, where you will be responsible for the operation/maintenance of the residue equipment and general housekeeping issues associated with the equipment.

　　You will assist/shadow other operators during plant upset or any non-typical conditions as they arise during shift.

　　Duties include safe and efficient operation of the assigned equipment in accordance with established plant operating procedures.

　　Other duties:

　　Our refuse cranes are a very large version of "The Claw Game" and you'll be responsible for operating them in a smooth, safe and efficient manner while monitoring proper pit management. You will also perform daily crane preventative maintenance and checks. A clean area is a safe area, so you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area.

　　If you have general mechanical aptitude and basic understanding and experience in operating heavy equipment this job is for you! We have a great training program that you will be required to complete to move to the next operator level. Each level of completion comes with an increase in salary!

　　Position is a rotating shift schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.

　　High School diploma or equivalent.

　　Minimum of 1 year applicable experience.
