About Cyber Security Engineer (Network Security) - III/IV/V

  Overview

  This position is for a Senior Network Security Engineer with a concentration on Nextgen Firewalls technologies (Cisco and Palo Alto). The right candidate will be a self-starter who can serve in a technical lead role, provide technical project management/oversight, and provide hands-on support at an SME level within areas of focus.

  Responsibilities

  System baseliningSystem requirements gatheringEngineer/Implementation of Cisco Nextgen firewallsEngineer/Implementation of Palo Alto Nextgen firewallsDeveloping and supporting migrations between various firewall platforms (e.g. Cisco to Palo)Developing and evaluating layer 3 and layer 7 firewall rulesSupporting and implementing holistic security stacks relative to Nextgen Firewalls (e.g. IPS, IDS, Layer 7 rules, etc.)Develop and support IPSEC VPN tunnelsDevelop and support remote access VPNsManage and implement Firewall code updatesIn depth troubleshooting and supporting of firewall fleet exceeding 100 nodesEvaluate technical solutions in response to business challengesProvide thought leadership in support continuous improvementsPresent technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptanceProvide project support and status reportingEstablish and maintain system documentationRepresent changes via CAB meetingsPresent new solutions and architectures via ARB meetings Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment

  Qualifications

  Required Qualifications

  Advance hands on experience and knowledge of Firewall technologiesExtensive experience with hands on experience and knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switchesExtensive experience with routing and switchingAdvance hands on experience and knowledge with System design, administration, and securityStrong team player, able to communicate and show leadership amongst teams of similarly knowledgeable specialists and EngineersExperience supporting technical teams in a lead roleExperience working with Incident, Problem, and Change ManagementBachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

  Desired Qualifications

  Familiarity and/or prior experience working with Cloud environment(s) (e.g. Azure, AWS, or OCI)Active CISSP CertificationActive Certification in Cisco and/or Palo Alto

  Salary: Level III - $97,500 - $173,675 annually | Level IV - $112,200 - $199,900 annually | Level V - $129,100 - $229,925 annually

  Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (May require some on- call as well as nights and/or weekends based on project needs)
