The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Cyber Defense SOC Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Manage regional Cybersecurity Incident Response team members, including setting and upholding process standards and incident response SLAs
Command incident response and cyber forensic investigations for the most complex cybersecurity incidents
Identify the root cause of complex cyber incidents and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence
Observe incident response processes and procedures; document updates to improve process and share with the Global CSOC
Work with stakeholders throughout ISRC to communicate lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement observations are understood by applicable stakeholders
Provide Subject Matter Expertise on relevant cyber threat actor methodologies, including recommendations for detection, response, and prevention
Develop and review technical training materials for L1/L2 CSOC analysts
Provide guidance, training, and feedback to CSOC analysts, as well as threat detection content engineering and SOAR engineering
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
5-6 years of security experience with at least 4 of those years within cyber incident response
Experience implementing SIEM/SOAR technologies or specifically, writing and updating threat detection content
Fluent English in speaking and writing
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include
SANS GCFA (Certified Forensic Analyst)
CISSP or related certification
Expert knowledge of forensic methodologies and best practices to investigate intrusions, preserve evidence, and coordinate a unified security response
Experience leading technical incident response assessment during high stress crisis events
Strong knowledge of host, identity, and network artifacts utilized during IR
