Overview

Buildings General Service (BGS) at the State of Vermont has anexciting and unique opportunity with room for growth as a Custodian IIwithin the Operations Management Division.This position will beresponsible for the daily custodial duties at the Costello Court Houseat 32 Cherry Street in Burlington VT. The position will also work aspart of a larger team that performs these duties at other statefacilities within the greater Burlington area. Travel between thesefacilities may be required and will utilize a state owned and/or aprivately owned vehicle. This position requires successful completion ofmultiple background checks, and a valid driver's license.

This is a full-time position and the hours are Monday through Friday,4am to 12:30pm.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed during an assigned shift at one or more state ownedor leased buildings. Cleaning work often involves addressing bloodbornepathogens and other potentially infections material. Incumbents must beable to work outdoors in all types of weather. Good physical conditionand ability to climb ladders and lift weights of up to 50-lbs. isnecessary. Overtime and evening work may be required.
