Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian Date Posted: 1/18/2024 Location: Pankalo Education Center (Lake Elmo) Additional Information: NORTHEAST METRO 916 INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT VACANCY NOTICE Date Posted: January 18, 2024 Position Title: Custodian Assignment: Hours Per Day: 8.0 (Monday - Friday from 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) Starting Salary: $19.08 per hour plus $0.60 shift differential Expected Starting Date: ASAP Nature of Work: Incumbents are responsible for performing basic custodial work in assigned area. Responsibilities may include: sweeping and mopping floors; emptying garbage; cleaning classrooms, restrooms and hallways; and setting up and breaking down rooms. Typical Class Responsibilities: Performs a variety of custodial duties including: stripping, buffing, sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming, and mopping of floors; cleaning windows and louvers; cleaning and sanitizing sinks, counters, drinking fountains, glass, restroom(s), toilets, and urinals; washing walls, woodwork, chalkboards, baseboards, doors, and handles; and cleaning carpet. Collects and disposes of trash and recycling items. Operates and maintains a variety of cleaning and/or maintenance equipment and tools. Monitors supply and inventory levels and notifies appropriate individual of the need to replenish items; restocks supplies and/or inventory items upon receipt; and prevents the waste or careless use of supplies, equipment, and utilities. Sets up, moves, rearranges, and breaks down furniture and equipment. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Training and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Preferred Qualifications: One year of relevant experience performing similar duties.
