Job Description Summary
Works with County Extension Agents to coordinate and implement program events and activities. Activities are designed to provide insight to career opportunities in a particular field or specialty.
Examples include:* agriculture/natural resources* family and community health* youth development* community development
Responsibilities
Participates in regular conferences and meetings where program results and plans are discussed.
Assists in preparations for planned events and activities. May also conduct the teaching, training, or other program presentations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a course of study relevant to the mission of Extension.
Completion of at least 15 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
No specific experience is required.
Prior experience with Extension related activities is desirable.
Work experience with volunteer organizations is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills in basic office applications.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Evidence of strong communications skills.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Bilingual skill (English/Spanish) is desirable.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Other Qualifications:
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation. Application Information
