  The Role at a glance:

  The Culinary Director provides creative and systems leadership for Dining & Events. Through building and implementing inspired industry leading culinary programs, the role ensures the highest level of guest/client satisfaction while fostering team member engagement and achieving company financial objectives. The Culinary Director will be cross functional to the business needs in retail, restaurants & catering.

  Compensation: $180,000 plus Bonus

  What you'll be doing:

  Builds high performing culinary management team by leading the charge in talent acquisition, coaching and development to ensure the highest level of individual and team performance. In partnership with Regional Chefs and Vice Presidents of Operation, communicate job expectations and manages Regional Chef performance.

  Drives culinary innovation in partnership with segment & company initiatives and goals.

  Aligns Dining & Events menu and production management processes across various lines of business.

  Encompasses a superior understanding of food and beverage standards and trends; guides and protects the food, beverage and service experience, constantly exploring the latest trends and opportunities for program growth and evolution.

  Leads planning and execution of new menus, retail brands, renovations, and new site openings.

  Maintain deliverables towards long term and short-term objectives via cadence of reporting and presentation.

  Provides culinary leadership, including planning and execution for all companies in the Dining & Events segment. Develops and implements menus, recipes, systems and quality assurance standards to ensure innovative, consistent, high-quality execution of all culinary experiences across the segment.

  Guides revenue growth and performance efforts of the business as it relates to culinary operations.

  What we're looking for:

  Must-haves:

  Minimum 10+ years hospitality operations management experience, preferably in a high volume, upscale catering and restaurant environment.

  6+ years successfully managing multiple high-volume kitchens and commissaries.

  Experience successfully overseeing teams of Regional and Executive Chefs.

  Ability to manage controllable line items, analyze and provide input on cost saving measures, manage proper execution of food programs, and assure efficient outputs.

  Strong culinary skills paired with a fluency in operational protocol such as ServSafe and EcoSure

  Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, operations, purchasing, human resources, marketing, and finance teams to foster support and to ensure that i initiatives are deliverable and support the broader business strategies.

  Superior leadership, management and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver superior operational performance.

  Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business and/or Culinary field Highly Preferred.

  Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively, independently, and efficiently with time constraints.

  Must be creative, innovative, and proactive.

  Must be detail oriented and perform work accurately and timely.

  Proficient computer skills necessary including Microsoft Office.

  Financial management cost controls, food and labor cost management experience required.

  Able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.

  Required travel 75%
