The Emergency Department at St. Anthony North Health Campus (144th) has 34 beds with approximately 100 patients per day, though it can range from 80-120 patients. We are a Level III trauma emergency department where our nurses currently hold and can obtain the following certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or ENPC, TNCC, NRP and NIHHS. We are a stroke and STEMI certified ED. We see neonatal through geriatric populations and take care of anything and everything. We see many high acuity patients, with about a 25% admission rate. Many patients are treated for sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, falls and abdominal pain. We also occasionally see patients that are less acute and are more urgent care-related, however this is not common. The ED does not get overflow; however, it does have to occasionally hold admitted patients until a bed becomes available. Our mission is to provide excellent care to our community.
